These Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs literally fall off the bone, and the preparation just takes a few minutes, making these perfect for a weekend barbecue or a weeknight dinner. You can use your own homemade BBQ sauce or your favorite store-bought. I did use store bought with fantastic results.
These ribs cook while you’re gone at work or hanging out with your kids. I really think slow cooker is worth the counter space, especially for busy moms, like me.
Ingredients:
2 racks baby back ribs -cut in half if preferred
1 tsp. paprika
1 Tbsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste (about 1 Tablespoon each is what I used)
3 cups barbecue sauce – I used Sweet Baby Ray’s
Direction:
Depending on the size of your slow cooker, you may need to cut a full rack in half.
Combine salt and all the spices in a small bowl and then rub the ribs with the mixture. Make sure you cover the back and front.
Arrange ribs in the slow cooker by standing them up against the wall of the stoneware pot. Pour about a cup of the barbecue sauce over the ribs.
Turn the slow cooker on High for 4 hours or LOW for 7 hours.
Once the ribs are cooked, very carefully (as they are super tennnnderrr) place the ribs to a foil lined baking pan and brush with additional barbecue sauce.
Broil the ribs for 6-10 minutes just before serving. Don’t skip this step, even if your ribs already look pretty good.
Serve with more BBQ sauce on the side with the ribs.
Enjoy!!!

Would 1cup of barbecue sauce be enough to cover the ribs in the slow cooker? thanks
Yes, just pour over. We will cover them with more bbq sauce after they cooked.
