The Best Cajun Garlic Butter Cod Recipe
INGREDIENTS
4 cod filets, cut in half
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Pinch of crushed red pepper- optional
1 Tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
3 Tablespoons unsalted butter- melted
1 lemon, sliced, plus more for garnish
3 garlic cloves, peeled and cut in half
1 Tablespoon freshly chopped parsley, for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 400° and pat cod filets with a paper towel until dry.
In a 9×13 inch baking dish add the cod and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasonings.
Top the fish with garlic and lemon slices.
Pour olive oil and melted butter over the fish fillets.
Bake until fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, 15 to 20 minutes, depending on thickness of filets.
Serve garnished with parsley, lemon wedges, and pan sauce.
