A smooth and chunky guacamole is loaded with ripe avocados, tomato, read onion, garlic, cilantro, lime and a light touch of spices including cumin and cayenne pepper.

My recipe was the number 1 WINNER on our family reunion Guacamole contest.

It will be a keeper in your family too.

Ingredients:

4 medium ripe avocados – sliced in cubes (see video below)
2 tomatoes – diced
1 small red onion – diced
1 clove garlic – minced
1/2 jalapeno pepper (optional) –seeds removed and minced
1 lime, juiced
1/2 Bunch of cilantro – chopped
1 tsp. Olive oil
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper, or to taste
1/4 tsp. of ground cumin
Pinch of cayenne pepper

Direction:
Prepare the other vegetables first before cutting open avocado, since they will begin to change the color.
After you removed the pit and cut avocados in cubes, place them in a mixing bowl, sprinkle with 1 lime juice and some salt. Mash avocados with a fork to get desired consistency (I like to leave some larger chunks for the texture)

Add diced tomatoes, onion, garlic, and chopped jalapeno pepper (if using).

Season with ground cumin, black pepper and cayenne pepper. Mix everything well.

Add in chopped cilantro and olive oil; gently stir to combine. Taste to adjust any seasonings if needed and add more lime juice if desired.

Enjoy!!!
